I’ve had many failures.
And if I’m honest, I will probably have many more for the rest of my life.
I don’t look at my life and see big achievements or impressive milestones. I don’t think I’ve accomplished anything extraordinary.
I’m not a “success story.”
I’m just a person who keeps trying.
For a long time, I thought success meant winning — reaching a goal, proving something, making everything work out beautifully.
But life didn’t unfold that way.
Plans didn’t work.
Ideas failed.
Expectations collapsed.
And every time something fell apart, I had two choices: stay down or stand up again.
The only thing I can truly say I’ve succeeded at is this — I get back up.
Not quickly.
Not dramatically.
Not with a powerful speech.
Quietly.
I gather what’s left of my courage. I doubt myself. I question everything. And then, somehow, I try again.
I don’t know if I will ever “make it.”
I don’t know what I’ll achieve in the end.
But I know this:
I gave my effort honestly.
I showed up as much as I could.
I tried with the strength I had at the time.
And maybe that is a form of success.
Maybe resilience is a success.
Maybe continuing — even without guarantees — is the real achievement.
I’m not someone who has arrived.
I’m someone who is still walking.
And for now, that is enough.
