When I get amazingly fantastic news, the first thing I do is… pause.

When I get amazingly fantastic news, the first thing I do is… pause.

I don’t celebrate right away.

I double-check.

I read it again.
And again.

Because lately life has taught me to be careful with excitement. I’ve been through a lot, and sometimes it’s hard to trust that something is truly good and not about to disappear.

So first, I make sure it’s real.

Then I just sit for a moment, a little stunned, not knowing how to react.

My mind goes quiet.
My heart beats fast.
I almost don’t know what to do with such good news.

But once it sinks in… once I let myself believe it… I smile.

And the next thing I do is share it.

Always with my family first.

With the people closest to me.

Because joy feels bigger when it’s shared.
Warmer.
Safer.

Good news doesn’t feel complete unless the people I love are part of it.

So I call them, or hug them, or say, “You won’t believe what just happened.”

And in that moment, it’s not just my happiness anymore — it’s ours.
